About Community Living in Langley, BC

The City and Township of Langley are about 50 minutes' drive southeast of Vancouver, in the Fraser Valley. The Township is bordered by the US border to the south, Fraser River to the north, city of Surrey to the west and city of Abbotsford to the east. The City of Langley is nestled amid the primarily rural Township - the two became separate entities in 1955.

Within the Township are various distinct areas, each with its own unique character. Langley Living focuses on the areas of North Langley - Fort Langley and Walnut Grove.

Just over 303 square kilometers, bounded by 196th street on the west, 276th street on the east, the Fraser River on the north and the US/Canadian border on the south. Meets the city of Langley at 62nd avenue on the north, 212th street on the east, and 44th avenue on the south. Current population is estimated at 87,500 (as at the last census in 1996, was 80,180).
